How to Buy Tickets

Where the facility to purchase tickets is available at the station, customers are required to do so before boarding the train. Where there are no ticket issuing facilities available, tickets may be purchased on the train.

Tickets can also be bought online or over the phone!

Buy Tickets Online

For online booking of tickets we recommend the Arriva Trains Wales website.

Arriva Trains Wales has just launched an improved real time train service information system called Journey Check. This enables you to instantly see that the train you intend to travel on is running according to schedule, or should problems arise, if delays are expected.

Arriva Trains

The National Rail Enquiries journey planner provides another great way to buy tickets and plan journeys that extend beyond the Heart of Wales Line.

Just a note of CAUTION though... if you wish to ensure that you travel along the Heart of Wales Line using direct trains and avoid longer, more expensive routes, make sure that you select the More options, railcards & passengers drop-down box! From there you have the option to select Show Only Direct Trains or a specfic station you wish to travel via.
