Are you passionate about community engagement, sustainable transport, and the beautiful Heart of Wales Line? The Heart of Wales Line Community Rail Partnership is seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to Chair the Partnership.


The Heart of Wales Line Community Rail Partnership aims to promote and develop this iconic and scenic railway line for the benefit of people living and working locally, local businesses and visitors. The CRP wishes to appoint a new Chairperson to take the CRP forward. We are looking for a new Chair to provide inspiration, leadership, strategic guidance, and ensure effective governance of the partnership.
The CRP strives to connect communities, improve social and economic development along the line, provide a voice for the community and promote sustainable, healthy and accessible travel. A Community Rail Officer is employed by the CRP to design and deliver an activity plan to help us achieve this.


The Chair will be an individual with the ability to challenge the organisation to be bigger, bolder and better and to connect the community with their railway. They will have a proven track record in leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep commitment to community and environmental sustainability. 


Number of meetings per annum/time commitment:

  • Minimum of 3 x Partnership meetings per annum, 1 x Annual General Meeting.
  • Ad hoc representation of CRP at functions and attendance at other events/meetings as requested by the Partnership or supporting the Rail Officer.
  • Regular in-person and electronic contact with the Community Rail Officer is expected.
  • CRP meetings and AGM are normally online meetings.

Rydym yn chwilio am Gadeirydd newydd i ddarparu ysbrydoliaeth, arweinyddiaeth, arweiniad strategol, a sicrhau llywodraethu effeithiol o'r bartneriaeth. 


Mae'r CRP yn ymdrechu i gysylltu cymunedau, gwella datblygiad cymdeithasol ac economaidd ar hyd y llinell, darparu llais i'r gymuned a hyrwyddo teithio cynaliadwy, iach ac hygyrch. Mae Swyddog Rheilffyrdd Cymunedol yn cael ei gyflogi gan y CRP i ddylunio a chyflwyno cynllun gweithgaredd i'n helpu i gyflawni hyn.


Bydd y Cadeirydd yn unigolyn gyda’r gallu i herio’r sefydliad i fod yn well ac yn fwy beiddgar ac i gysylltu’r gymuned â’u rheilffordd. Bydd ganddynt brofiad profedig mewn arweinyddiaeth, sgiliau cyfathrebu rhagorol, ac ymrwymiad dwfn i gynaliadwyedd cymunedol ac amgylcheddol.


Nifer y cyfarfodydd y flwyddyn/ymrwymiad amser:

  • Lleiafswm o 3 x Cyfarfod Partneriaeth y flwyddyn, 1 x Cyfarfod Cyffredinol Blynyddol.
  • Cynrychiolaeth ad hoc o CRP mewn digwyddiadau a phresenoldeb mewn digwyddiadau/cyfarfodydd eraill yn unol â chais y Bartneriaeth neu'r Swyddog Rheilffyrdd.
  • Disgwylir cyswllt personol ac electronig rheolaidd gyda'r Swyddog Rheilffyrdd Cymunedol.
  • Mae cyfarfodydd CRP a CCB fel arfer yn gyfarfodydd ar-lein.
