Station Cottage is situated in a Victorian railway building.  Originally the ticket office and waiting room for Bucknell Station, it has been converted into a cosy cottage sleeping up to 4 people. A perfect base for travelling the Heart of Wales Line, walking and cycling (road and off-road).  Station Cottage Bucknell is a dream destination for railway lovers young and old. 8 trains a day pass slowly, and quietly, through the station with the conductors and drivers always happy to share a friendly wave.  Why not use it as a base for a circular trip around the whole route, using the Explorer ticket? It’s also worth keeping an eye out for occasional special services, a steam train chugging past the station is a real sight to behold. Situated in the small, but thriving, village of Bucknell, it is within walking distance of two excellent pubs, a butcher and a petrol station. Accommodation includes a living room with woodburning stove, private kitchen and bathroom. The cottage has private parking for 3 cars, as well as a small lawn area.
